Presidents Closet – Donation Letter (PDF)
The University’s Career & Professional Development Center in conjunction with the Human Ecology Department and Office of Alumni Affairs is excited to introduce the President’s Closet, which provides students access to FREE professional attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews, networking events, and the workplace. Inventory includes suits, blazers, blouses, button-down shirts, ties and more. Our goal is to help students look their best throughout their job search so they can make a positive impression as they enter the professional world!
How it Works
The President’s Closet will be open twice a month on the first and third Friday of each month. The Closet will be operated by fashion merchandising faculty and students from the Human Ecology Department. The operation of the Closet has been incorporated into the fashion merchandising curriculum to enhance students’ experiential learning opportunities and earn internship credit.
The monthly store hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and students will only be able to gain access to the store during the hours of operation on the two days identified each month. Students must adhere to the following process to receive garments from The President’s Clothes Closet:
- Visit The President’s Closet on designated monthly openings. NOTE: The President’s Closet will ONLY be open twice a month on designated days.
- Complete the Student Voucher Form, which will be kept on file. The President’s Professional Closet will keep a record of all students who receive garments from the store using the voucher form.
- Students may take up to 4 individual apparel items (a suit equals 2 items) per academic year.
Please note that the President’s Closet cannot guarantee availability of all sizes and types of items.
