Dressing Today for the Job You Want Tomorrow
Professional Dress Monday’s is an initiative created by the Office of Student Experience in association with the Office of Career Services and the Student Government Association. Our aim with this initiative is to help prepare our students for their future after UMES by encouraging them to dress today for the job they want tomorrow and by providing workshops that focus on resume building, etiquette, interviewing, general speaking, and other vital professional skills.
Student Leadership Retreat
The Office of Student Experience provides a variety of leadership opportunities for student leaders and activities that are designed to develop, and enhance leadership potential. These include workshops, retreats, lectures, community service, challenging outdoor experiences and trips to assist students and organizations in the development of their leadership abilities. Students also engage in monthly workshops and seminars that give students the opportunity to gain ongoing leadership training over the course of the academic year. Retreat which focuses on helping the student prepare for the “World of Business” after graduation. Students participate in workshops, etiquette training, mock interview and much more!
Fall Leadership Retreat
This is an outdoors leadership retreat that gives student leaders an opportunity to participate in activities which challenge them personal, and help to develop their team, building skills. Some activities include; horseback riding, sailing, canoeing, high & low ropes course, and much more.
Spring Leadership Retreat
This is a retreat that focuses on helping the student prepare for the “World of Business” after graduation. Students participate in workshops, etiquette training, mock interview and much more!
Organizational Leadership Meetings
Monthly workshops and seminars that give students the opportunity to gain ongoing leadership training over the course of the academic year.
