Greek Life | Office of Student Experience

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has several chapters of Greek Letter Organizations (NPHC), along with Non-Greek Social Fellowships (CIO). The active organizations on campus are committed to serving their community and uplifting the students of their HBCU.

In order to to be eligible for intake and initiation of any NPHC or Independent organization, every student of UMES must:
-Have Earned a Minimum of 28 Credits or More
-Earn a Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.75
-Be a Full-Time Registered Student (12 credits or more for the semester)
-Must Have Attended UMES For Two (2) Consecutive Semesters
-Exemplify Good Citizenship
