Fall 2026 Room Reservation Process
Room Reservation occurs each semester. The fall room reservation process allows current residents/students the opportunity to secure University housing for the next academic year.
The spring room reservation process allows current residents/students who are currently not assigned housing in the fall the opportunity to return to University Housing for the following semester.
Returning students may apply for on-campus housing through the room reservation process.
To be eligible for Room Reservation Process, you must be currently enrolled for at least 12 credits for the upcoming fall semester. Space is limited, so please read carefully and do not hesitate to make your reservation!
- A new application must be completed
- A $300 room deposit is required to reserve your on-campus space
- Students must be financially cleared through Student Accounts
- Students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours for the upcoming semester (summer courses do not apply)
- Review our Housing Contract before applying

Fall 2026 Room Reservation Timeline

Room Application Step-by-Step
- Navigate to the UMES webpage
- Select MyUMES
- Select the Hawkville icon
- Complete the housing application
- Pay the $300 housing deposit
- Select a room April 16 – May 15.
- Beginning May 16 a room assignment will be completed by ORL staff based on availability and eligibility. Students must be registered for at least 12 credits and resolve all outstanding Student Account balances to be assigned.
