The HAWKS S.H.A.R.E.S. program is able to serve members of the UMES community by asking individuals to complete this Intake Form prior to meeting with a HAWKS S.H.A.R.E.S. team member. This will allow us to better meet your needs and ensure we have the resources available. Once the request is processed (usually within 2 business days) you will be contacted to schedule a time to meet with a member of the HAWKS S.H.A.R.E.S. Program team. Fulfillment of an emergency food pack is based on the availability of food items at time of assistance.

Need emergency food assistance AFTER business hours of Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM. – 6 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM, or during a school or holiday break
Complete the “Request Assistance” link above. After submitting the intake form, students in need of emergency food assistance may the Office of Residence Life and speak with a front desk staff member. A single one-day emergency supply will be available with information on nearby resources.
Once the submitted intake form request is processed (usually within 2 business days) the student will be contacted to schedule a time to meet with a member of the HAWKS S.H.A.R.E.S. Program team after which time the student may receive a three-day food assistance pack. Fulfillment of the one-day emergency food assistance pack and/or three-day food assistance pack is based on the availability of food items at time of assistance and may each be utilized one time per month per student.
