PRINCESS ANNE, MD – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Tobacco Control Resource Center is soliciting mini-grant proposals from faith-based and community organizations, in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties, interested in preventing and/or reducing tobacco use in African American communities.
Mini-grant awards may not exceed $2,000 for organizations focused on prevention or cessation of tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, and/or chewing tobacco) and outreach to increase awareness. Grant monies must be used to create new programs and may not be used to replace or supplement existing programs.
The deadline for proposal submission is 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29. Proposals are to be submitted either by mail or hand-delivered to Jonte’ Jones, coordinator, Tobacco Control Resource Center, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, 1 Backbone Road, Princess Anne, MD 21853. The Tobacco Control Resource Center reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, and no late applications will be accepted.
