PRINCESS ANNE, MD – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Foundation received a check in the amount $4,500 from The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation during a recent campus visit.  Kevin Molitor, Enterprise vice president and general manager in Baltimore, presented the check to UMES President Thelma B. Thompson.  Maryland Delegate Rudolph C. Cane (R-37A) also attended the presentation.

“As the largest rental company in North America and a leader in hiring recent college graduates, we are pleased to support the university,” said Molitor.  “Recruiting from UMES produces high caliber employees for our company.”  Enterprise is celebrating its 50th anniversary.  The company has 10 branches on the Eastern Shore.

“UMES is pleased to be producing students who join the workforce and impress their employers favorably,” said Thompson.  “We are encouraged by the continued charitable giving of the company.”

A tour of the university’s greenhouse to purchase orchids and lunch on campus concluded the visit.
