Class Hours

The stated class hours for the didactic portion of the curriculum can occur between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.  Clinical course hours may extend beyond this time or include weekends to accommodate Supervised Clinical Practice Experience (SCPE) schedules.  In observance of these posted times, students and all faculty who are scheduled to teach will be expected to be present at the scheduled lecture time posted in the syllabus, except when otherwise approved by the Program Director. The DED or CED should be informed.  Faculty have the latitude to allow students to study in their groups or work on special projects; however, that time must be defined and structured, faculty should be available to assist and facilitate students in their learning. Students will not be allowed “time off”, “comp time” or time to complete assignments intended as “homework,” or be off campus during these class days unless approved by the Didactic Education Director or Clinical Education Director and faculty as part of the syllabus.
