The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) provides hundreds of scholarships to qualified students at UMES and 46 other TMCF member colleges and universities.
Eligibility is based on both merit and financial need.
The scholarships are one-year, non-renewable awards that assist with direct costs of attendance – tuition, on-campus room and board, books, and mandatory fees.
TMCF Scholarship Criteria:

- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Demonstrate financial need and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident;
- Exhibit a history of and commitment to leadership and service;
