The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) receives millions of federal and state dollars to support a wide variety of research studies and educational programs. Many students receive stipends, scholarships, and employment-based on the receipt of these funds. According to instructions coming from federal and state agencies future awards may be cut by 8% or more and other awards may be terminated.
Principal Investigators are urged to check with their funding agency regarding potential cuts, adjustments to the scope of work, and related grants management issues.
