Non-credit Spanish courses for beginners and health care professionals offered

 PRINCESS ANNE, MD-December 6, 2011-Registration is now open for non-credit Spanish courses at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Foreign Language Instructional Center, a computer lab which features specialized language learning technology.

            An intensive, eight-day Spanish course for beginners will be held Jan. 9-12 and 17-20.  The course fee is $249 per person and includes all materials.          

            A one-day “Spanish for Health Care Professionals” class is being offered Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.   The class provides practical vocabulary and cultural understanding for those who work with Spanish-speaking clients in medical settings. The fee is $149 and includes materials.
