PRINCESS ANNE, MD-An African-American genealogy workshop will be held at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in the Frederick Douglass Library on Saturday, April 24, from 3-6 p.m. Kimberly Conway Dumpson, J.D., director of alumni affairs and planned giving at UMES, will conduct the workshop.
Dumpson, who has traced her family from the Eastern Shore of Maryland through the Underground Railroad to New England, will guide participants through the unique challenges of researching African-American family history.
