PRINCESS ANNE, MD-(Sept. 8, 2011) University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Foreign Language Instructional Center is currently offering non-credit courses open to the public.
Beginner and intermediate Arabic are being offered. The classes in speaking and writing Modern Standard Arabic will be held each Saturday for 10 weeks beginning Oct. 7. Arab culture will also be covered by the native-speaking instructor. Cost is $249 per person with all materials provided.
Spanish for law enforcement and corrections personnel is being offered on Oct. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The native-speaking instructor aims to impart practical vocabulary and cultural understanding. Cost is $149 per person including materials.
