PRINCESS ANNE, MD – Author and cultural historian Anthony T. Browder will visit UMES to present a lecture on Ancient Africa Thursday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Services Center Theater on campus.
Browder has lectured extensively throughout the U.S., Caribbean, Africa, Mexico, Japan and Europe on topics pertaining to African and African American History and Culture. He is the founder and director if Institute of Karmic Guidance (IKG) Cultural Resources and has devoted 25 years to researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy and culture. He has concluded that ancient Africans were the architects of civilization and developed the rudiments of what has become the scientific, religious and philosophical backbone of mankind. This conclusion provides the framework for the research and education undertaken by IKG.
He is the author of “From the Browder File: 22 Essays on the African American Experience, From the Browder File, Vol. II: Survival Strategies for Africans in America, Exploding the Myths, Vol. I: Nile Valley Contributions To Civilization, and Egypt on the Potomac: A Guide to Decoding Egyptian Architecture and Symbolism.”
With his 24-year-old daughter Atlantis Tye, Browder is the co-author of two publications, “My First Trip to Africa” and “Africa on My Mind: Reflections of My 2nd Trip to Africa.” His publications are used in classrooms throughout the United States and in Ghana, Egypt, Brazil, Turkey, Japan and England.
