PRINCESS ANNE, MD- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Humanities Series continues on February 8, at 11 a.m. in the Richard A. Henson Center, Room 1112. Dr. Dolan Hubbard, a professor and chair of the Department of English and Language Arts at Morgan State University, presents “From Frederick Douglass to Hip Hop and Beyond.” Admission is free and open to the public.

Hubbard is a past president of the Langston Hughes Society. He is vice president of South Atlantic Association of Teachers of English. He participated as a judge for the Baltimore Afro-American’s eighth grade essay contest. Hubbard has published a journal article called “Language as the God Gone Astray.”
