PRINCESS ANNE, MD -May, 20, 2010- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is scheduled to host a free, two-day grant writing and capacity building workshop titled “The Art and Science of Grant Writing.”
Presented by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the workshop begins with a dinner and program overview on Tuesday, May 25, followed by two, day-long sessions on May 26 and 27 at the Richard A. Henson Center.
Faith-based community and non-profit organizations are encouraged to attend the workshop, which will be held on both days from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program will focus on topics such as organizational structure to compete for funding; basic strategic planning and marketing; finding and applying for grants; and outcome and performance measurements.
