Sajjad Haque, Pharm.D.

Sajjad Haque is a recent pharmacy graduate who is currently affiliated with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Apple Discount Drugs as part of the Post Graduate Year 1 Residency program.  As a resident pharmacist, he is actively involved in the usual pharmacy workflow along with a few specialties like sterile and nonsterile compounding, which is his area of interest.

Sajjad believes that communication and interpersonal skills are just as important as clinical expertise because to be successful in this field we need to establish rapport with our patients so that they are adherent to their therapies and invested in the outcome. 

Born in Bangladesh, he immigrated to the United States over 30 years ago and grew up in New York City.  He moved to Sussex county, Delaware in pursuit of a quieter neighborhood for his family.  A former high school science teacher, Sajjad has taught chemistry and physics in Seaford and Woodbridge, Delaware.  He also has nearly a decade of experience in sales, customer service, and quality assurance.

Sajjad enjoys watching professional sports, especially baseball, and is a huge NY Mets fan.  His hobbies include painting, yard work, and classic American literature.  He is partial to Rock music, especially the ’70s, and ’80s variety.  He is a doting husband to his wife Lauren, and a loving father to his two boys, Isaiah and Ethan.
