Haitian Creole class for community outreach offered

PRINCESS ANNE, MD-(Oct. 5, 2012) Registration is now open for a one-day class, “Haitian Creole for Community Outreach,” Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Foreign Language Instructional Center.

The class provides practical vocabulary and cultural understanding to social workers, clergy, humanitarian aid volunteers and others in the helping professions.  No prior knowledge of Haitian Creole is required.  It is taught by a native-speaking instructor in a state-of-the-art language learning classroom.
