PRINCESS ANNE-The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Director of Alumni Affairs and Planned Giving Kimberly Dumpson, Esq., was recently appointed for a 3-year term to the Wicomico County Personnel Board at the request of Richard M. Pollitt Jr., county executive.  The appointment was confirmed by the County Council.

            Dumpson joins Allen Brown of the Wicomico County Board of Education, Elsie Jones, a farmer, Ed Urban of Harvard Manufacturing and Chair Nola Arnold of Wor-Wic Community College on the board.  According to the charter of Wicomico County, the board serves to formally review grievances by hearing and deciding on appeals from any personnel action.  Other functions are to advise county officials on matters related to personnel regulations and report to the county executive and county council on the operation of the personnel system.

            “When I was contacted by Mr. Pollitt to serve on the personnel board, I felt honored to have been selected.  I consider it an important element of the county’s human resources and look forward to serving,” said Dumpson.
