PRINCESS ANNE, MD – Dean Cooledge, Ph.D., a member of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) English faculty, recently presented at two scholarly conferences.
Cooledge presented his paper, “The Tragedy of Class in Woody Allen’s Match Point,” at the Literature/Film Association’s annual convention in Towson, MD. Later in the month, he traveled to Charlotte, NC, to attend a convention of the South Atlantic Modern Language Association. There he presented a paper entitled “Pastoral Desire in Film Noir.”
In addition to teaching composition and literature courses at UMES, Cooledge serves as the associate editor of the Literature/Film Quarterly, published by Salisbury University.
