As you may know, the State of Maryland is facing a $1.7 billion structural deficit. In order to solve the problem, the Governor is looking at ways to structure a solution, which also maintains funding for areas of priority. Higher Education in the State is in jeopardy of losing funding if his proposal fails. We have been asked to provide you with information (attached) that you can review and use as a guide to contact your legislators about this issue and we urge you to voice your support of proposals that will make sure that Higher Education funding remains a priority.
