Dr. Isaac Marcelin is a tenured Professor and Associate Dean in the Department of Business, Management and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He received his Ph.D. and MBA in Finance from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). He also served as a member of the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Haiti for two years, working as a financial advisor and policy analyst. Dr. Marcelin has published research articles in top financial journals and serves as a reviewer for many journals in finance and economics. He has conducted studies and consultations for non-governmental organizations and collaborated on research projects concerning livelihoods in Haiti. Dr. Marcelin has significant experience in public policy deliberations and has conducted studies on various topics in Haiti and South Africa. He has also worked as a consultant for UNESCO, IDB, UNU-WIDER, Oxfam, Ayiti Nexus, and the government of South Africa. Research Associate at the National Bureau for Economic Research, he has published in the Journal of Banking and Finance, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Financial Analysis, Research in International Business and Finance, Emerging Markets Review, etc.
