Dr. Nicole Antoinette Hollywood is the Interim Director of Assessment for the University as well as a tenured Professor in the Department of Business, Management and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She received her doctorate and master’s degrees from Columbia University. Her professional experiences are in public relations, advertising, research and development, assessment, and instructional design. She maintains her professional acumen by engaging in extensive pro-Bono work in public relations and organizational management for non-profits involved in community organizing and event production. She was also appointed by Governor Moore and the Maryland General Assembly to the Maryland Commission for LGBTQIA+ Affairs. Dr. Hollywood teaches courses in such areas as DEI, business ethics, communications, and technology applications. With an aggressive research agenda, her studies are focused on such topics as DEI, culturally responsive teaching, media effects, management education, assurance of learning, e-learning efficacy, social media, and information and digital literacy. Dr. Hollywood has had over 40 papers published in peer reviewed scholarly journals, is a frequent invited speaker, is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Doctoral Studies, and serves on a number of prominent boards.
