Afrofuturism and your HBCU Experience. Is it what you thought it would be? Are you FOMOing?
Student podcasters and the folks in the Digital Media Studies Program are bringing the equipment to the Hawks’ Corner studio to broadcast live with your voices.
Ever thought about hosting a podcast? Now’s your chance to find out how.
3:00 – 4:00 pm
Comics are the past, present, and future
Let’s talk about how important comics are to our shared experience right now. How have they altered our conversations about social justice? Are they more than just superheroes? Or are superheroes everything?
Our own Brad Hudson talks about his evolution as an artist and the changing landscape of comics in the media.
He’ll bring his latest projects and talk about his career (and yours) in sequential arts.
There will be a DJ, live music, jewelry and clothing pop-ups, and FOOD! Pop in to Hawk’s Corner right on Somerset Ave for refreshments throughout the day.
Not sure how to get there? It’s a quick and beautiful walk.
Walking Guide
Starting at the southwest corner of campus (the PAC parking lot or Hawks Landing) head down Hytche Blvd. Your second left (the stoplight) is Somerset Ave. Walk down about a block and Hawks’ Corner is on the left side of the street. The map above is interactive — just zoom in close, click on “directions,” and tap anywhere on the campus.
