Love, Ph.D., DTE<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\">Biography<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Dr. Love is a Professor and Coordinator of Technology and Engineering Education, and Director of Career and Technology Education Studies for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. In 2025 he was named the Association for Career and Technical Education&#8217;s (ACTE) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acteonline.org\/blog\/press\/acte-announces-maryland-director-and-professor-of-cte-as-national-award-finalist\/\">Region 1 Teacher Educator of the Year<\/a>. He has published over 100 books, peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, and other scholarly works on CTE and STEM education topics. Dr. Love previously taught technology and engineering (T&amp;E) education in Queen Anne&#8217;s County Public Schools and the Howard County Public School System. He is an Authorized OSHA Trainer for General Industry and has served on numerous committees at the state and national levels that developed P-12 engineering education standards and STEM education safety guides. Prior to working for UMES, he was an Assistant Professor of elementary\/middle grades STEM education at Penn State University&#8217;s Capital Campus. Mr. Brown began his work at LHS as Team Leader\/Project Coordinator for a USDE Smaller Learning Communities grant to develop and implement a first-year student and career related academy program. Mr. Brown teaches multiple levels of Career Research and Development course work, including dual enrollment.&nbsp; He supervises students in Work Study, Mentor-Internship, Student Service Learning, and Youth Apprentice programs.&nbsp; He is the FCPS Youth Apprentice Teacher Coordinator. He serves on a number of county, regional, and state committees and advisory groups.&nbsp;<br><br>Outside his roles in FCPS, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Dependable Strengths and the Maryland Association of Student Councils.
