We offer a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Technology and Engineering Education (TEE), Master of Education Degree (M.Ed.) in Career and Technology Education (CTE), and certificate programs in CTE as well as Work-Based Learning and Career Counseling. The B.S. in TEE program is an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) approved by the Maryland State Department of Education. State and national accreditation for this program is earned in collaboration with the UMES Department of Education where other approved EPPs are housed. The certificate programs were approved by the University System of Maryland (USM) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) in May of 2024. The M.Ed. in CTE and B.S. in T&amp;E Education programs underwent the five year program reapprovals from USM in 2025. The M.Ed. program and certificate programs are approved by MHEC to offer in both hybrid and online modalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"PC\">UMES&#8217;s CTE Program Outcomes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who complete a CTE program at UMES will be expected to demonstrate successful achievement in the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and evolution of CTE.
