It is designed for people who live on land that is forested or that has natural unmowed areas and for those who want to turn a mowed area into a natural unmowed one. Since assistance from public land managers is not available in most states to people in this situation, this workshop and new book will be important resources. Workshop participants will be encouraged to take this information out to their community and spread the knowledge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nevin Dawson, Forest Stewardship Educator, will present the workshop. Enrollment is limited to 30 and pre-registration is required. The cost of $15 per family includes one copy of the publication and companion CD-ROM, a $25 dollar value. To register, send check or money order, payable to Maryland Cooperative Extension, to: Maryland Cooperative Extension, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, 2122 Richard A.
