{"id":3372,"date":"2011-02-09T09:40:46","date_gmt":"2011-02-09T13:40:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/?p=3372"},"modified":"2011-02-09T09:40:46","modified_gmt":"2011-02-09T13:40:46","slug":"spring-gourmet-luncheon-series-hosted-by-umes-hrm-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/scm\/spring-gourmet-luncheon-series-hosted-by-umes-hrm-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring gourmet luncheon series hosted by UMES HRM students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/09\/photo05again189nikon.jfif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3373\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday, February 9, 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PRINCESS ANNE, Md.-(Feb. 8, 2011)Tickets&nbsp;are now on sale for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hotel and Restaurant Management Department&#8217;s Spring Gourmet Luncheon Series.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The lunches feature an appetizer, entr\u00e9e and dessert prepared by the students and faculty of the university&#8217;s HRM Program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &#8220;Our students gain valuable food preparation laboratory experience through participation in events such as the luncheons and the upcoming gala,&#8221; said Dr. Ernest Boger, chair of the HRM Program at UMES.&nbsp; &#8220;The lunches are a collaboration between two classes-the first year students for table service and the second year students for food production.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Lunches are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in February, except Feb. 28.&nbsp; There are three lunches in March (March 14, 16 and 18), three lunches in April (April 25, 27 and 29) and the final luncheon of the semester on May 6.&nbsp; Tickets are $12 per person and can be purchased in person only, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Richard A. Henson Center, room 2100 until tickets are sold out.&nbsp; Check or money order made payable to UMES.&nbsp; No cash accepted.&nbsp; The lunches will be held at noon in the Richard A.
