PRINCESS ANNE, MD-An African-American genealogy workshop will be held at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in the Frederick Douglass Library on Saturday, April 24, from 3-6 p.m. Kimberly Conway Dumpson, J.D., director of alumni affairs and planned giving at UMES, will conduct the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dumpson, who has traced her family from the Eastern Shore of Maryland through the Underground Railroad to New England, will guide participants through the unique challenges of researching African-American family history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop is free and open to the public. Space is limited.
