Hytche Athletic Center.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PRINCESS ANNE, MD. \u2014 University of Maryland Eastern Shore President Dr. <strong>Heidi M. Anderson<\/strong>, will confer degrees to 202 students during the university\u2019s winter commencement Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, which will take place at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center on the UMES campus, will feature performances by the UMES student gospel choir and the traditional student commentary speech by graduating senior <strong>Tayveon Lee<\/strong>, a computer engineering major from Baltimore, Maryland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis commencement ceremony caps off a remarkable calendar year full of triumphs and successes for UMES,\u201d Dr. Anderson said. \u201cIt will also be&nbsp;bittersweet to see many former students, who I remember coming to our campus eager and optimistic for their futures, leaving the nest as newly minted alumni in pursuit of their&nbsp;dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>William T. \u201cBill\u201d Wood<\/strong>, a practicing lawyer for more than 40 years who has been listed in publications including The Best Lawyers in America, The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and Super Lawyer&#8217;s Magazine, will also be on hand to provide greetings from the University System of Maryland\u2019s Board of Regents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will be live-streamed online at: <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/commencement\/umes-commencement-video\/\">https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/commencement\/umes-commencement-video\/<\/a> and on the university\u2019s social media pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Space will be reserved for media.
