{"id":7883,"date":"2021-09-22T13:02:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T17:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/sans\/?p=7883"},"modified":"2023-06-22T13:02:55","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T17:02:55","slug":"khatabi-graphic-chosen-for-cover-of-scientific-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/sans\/sans-news-releases\/khatabi-graphic-chosen-for-cover-of-scientific-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Khatabi graphic chosen for cover of scientific journal."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.umes.edu\/uploadedImages\/_WEBSITES\/SANS\/Content\/SANS_Monthly_Digest_-_09_2019\/Cover%20of%20Proteomics(1).png\" alt=\"Cover of Proteomics - Final\" width=\"214\" height=\"283\" title=\"Cover of Proteomics - Final\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Behnam Khatabi was recently featured on the front cover of a prominent scientific journal.&nbsp; Not his likeness, per se, but a part of him just the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The editors of&nbsp;<em>Proteomics: Proteomics and Systems Biology&nbsp;<\/em>invited Khatabi et al. to write the article he titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/pmic.201970141\">Plant-Microbe Symbiosis: What has Proteomics Taught Us?<\/a>\u201d for inclusion in the August 2019 edition of the journal.&nbsp; Upon reviewing it, they chose the schematic he created that compares the effects of various types of symbiotic and non-symbiotic interactions on a host plant as the cover photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am very pleased to have my graphic on the front cover of one of the best journals in protein chemistry in the world,\u201d said Khatabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Proteomics&nbsp;<\/em>is published by Wiley VCH and has a 2018 ISI impact factor of 2.106.&nbsp; In 2015, the journal was ranked 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;out of 77 publications in \u201cBiochemical Research Methods\u201d by Thomson Reuters and reported an impact factor of 4.079.&nbsp; It was first published in 2001.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Behnam Khatabi was recently featured on the front cover of a prominent scientific journal.&nbsp; Not his likeness, per se, but a part of him just the same.
