Saturday\u2019s program involves intensive courses organized within three tracks: alternative agriculture, business &amp; marketing and beginning farmer.&nbsp; The conference culminates with a diverse \u201cAsk the Experts Farmer Panel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christopher Bradshaw and Violet King of Dreaming Out Loud will serve as keynote speakers during Saturday\u2019s luncheon program.&nbsp; Dreaming Out Loud was founded in 2008 as a response to the educational and economic disparities in underserved, low-income communities in Washington, D.C.&nbsp; Today, the company is rebuilding urban, community-based food systems through social enterprise, helping to increase access to healthy food and improve community health, develop low-income entrepreneurs and cooperatives, and train at-risk adult residents to obtain sustainable, family-supporting wages.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/sans\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/141\/2024\/01\/2018-Small-Farm.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9393\" width=\"409\" height=\"218\" title=\"2018 Small Farm Conference Graphic\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/sans\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/141\/2024\/01\/2018-Small-Farm.png 618w, https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/sans\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/141\/2024\/01\/2018-Small-Farm-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 409px) 100vw, 409px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2018 Conference is being held in tandem with the Delmarva Soil Summit.&nbsp; The Summit is scheduled for Thursday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the UMES Student Services Center.&nbsp; A special discount is reserved for anyone who will attend both events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information or to register, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/umessfc2018.eventbrite.com\/\">umessfc2018.eventbrite.com<\/a>&nbsp;today.
