Drench Smart\u201d Small Ruminant Integrated Parasite Management workshop scheduled for Saturday, June 30, has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 28.&nbsp; The workshop will be held at the swine facility on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.&nbsp; Beginning at 9 a.m., Dr. E. Nelson Escobar will provide instruction involving the use of the FAMACHA\u00a9 score card to mitigate or manage parasite burdens common to small ruminants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the all-day workshop, participants will study anthelmintic resistance, gastrointestinal parasites that badger small sheep and goats and practices to mitigate or manage parasite burdens.&nbsp; The 3-hour morning session will serve as an introduction for the 3 to 4 hour afternoon hands-on session, which will offer certification on the use of the FAMACHA\u00a9 score card.&nbsp; The day ends at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special summer discount is in place for the upcoming session.&nbsp; Registration costs has been reduced to $15 per person and includes one FAMACHA\u00a9 card.&nbsp; To register online, visit&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/2018besmartdrenchsmart.eventbrite.com\/\">https:\/\/2018besmartdrenchsmart.eventbrite.com<\/a>.
