A workshop to learn how to build your own birdhouse or bee box will take place Saturday, <strong>March 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stephen Goewey<\/strong>, <em>(at left)<\/em> manager of the university\u2019s apiary, will assist participants in discovering how native bees boost pollination and how birds naturally control garden pests. He will also cover which type of houses are best suited for specific bird species and get tips on maintaining them across multiple seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hands-on workshop will be held from <strong>10 a.m.- 3 p.m<\/strong>. at UMES\u2019 Research, Extension and Teaching Farm on Stewart Neck Road in Princess Anne, Maryland. It is for adult participation. The cost is $20 per person and includes lunch.
