A veterinary medical officer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Dr. Jonica Thompson, is the speaker for the 11 a.m. talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seminar is part of the School of Agricultural and Natural Science Seminar Series, taking place in the Washington Carver Hall auditorium.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thompson previously served USDA in its Food Safety Inspection Service, overseeing sanitary operation of the Delmarva Peninsula\u2019s poultry slaughter plants.
