ICPPE connects <strong>Policy Makers<\/strong>,<strong> Private Industry<\/strong>,<strong> Scientists, Educators<\/strong> and other <strong>Stakeholders<\/strong> to promote the health and safety of pesticide operators and re-entry workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-color-bg-alt-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-color-bg-alt-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The ICPPE was established at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in 2015. The Center builds upon the leadership provided by UMES for over two decades in research and standards development initiatives regarding PPE. The Center enables UMES to leverage ongoing collaborative research and planned outreach activities through partnering with national and international entities interested in addressing PPE issues, important for the health and safety of pesticide operators and re-entry workers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key_projects\">ICPPE Key Project: Operator Safety Framework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seemingly simple task of addressing operator safety is complex.&nbsp;It spans from product authorization to the ability of operators to apply pesticides within acceptable risk limits.
