The number of positions will depend on current funding availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I look forward to helping you kick off your career in science research!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Dr. Margaret Sexton<\/strong>, Program Coordinator, Research Experiences for Undergraduates program<br>Deputy Director, <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/lmrcsc\/\">NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to Expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 51%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the assistance of faculty mentors, program staff and graduate students, interns conduct research projects, take field trips, and attend seminars and workshops related to science careers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interns will benefit from instruction in topics such as scientific ethics, library resources for research, experimental design and data analysis, and scientific writing and communication.
