To withdraw from a course(s), you will need the signatures of your advisor or department chair, and instructor of the course. Once signatures are obtained, submit the form to the Registrar&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Failure to attend classes does not constitute an official withdrawal and will result in \u201cF&#8221; grades for a course(s) and liability for all charges incurred.\u00a0 The effective date for withdrawing from a course(s) is the date the form is filed at the Office of the Registrar.\u00a0\u00a0 YOU MUST WITHDRAW DURING THE WITHDRAWAL PERIOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The registration <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/129\/2023\/04\/add-drop-form-revised-4-29-23.pdf\">add\/drop form<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0used to withdraw from classes.<\/strong>  You cannot withdraw from all classes, that is considered a <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/registrar\/withdrawing-from-the-institution\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/registrar\/withdrawing-from-the-institution\/\">withdrawal from the university<\/a> and the specific procedure process must be followed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Withdrawal Period starts the day after the Drop Period ends (check&nbsp;Academic Calendar&nbsp;for specific dates: which is subject to change).&nbsp; If you withdraw from a course, it will show on your Transcript&nbsp;with the grade of&nbsp;&#8220;W&#8221; (withdrawal).
