A<strong>LL<\/strong> <strong>UMES students, faculty, and staff, MUST present and leave their Hawk ID card at the desk when they enter the pool facility.<\/strong> Only UMES students, faculty, and staff are permitted to use the pool facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Distracting or disturbing the lifeguards while they are on duty is prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. All patrons must shower before entering the pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. All patrons must wear appropriate swim wear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Behaviors such as horseplay, running, pushing, dunking, hanging on lane lines, or any other activities deemed dangerous by the aquatic staff are prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. Repetitive breath holding or prolonged underwater swimming is prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. No food, drink, glass, or gum is allowed in the pool facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8. Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco products, drugs and alcohol is prohibited in the pool facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:32px\"><strong>Please be aware and comply with the following whistle signals:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ONE<\/strong> short whistle signal = lifeguard needs the attention of a swimmer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TWO<\/strong> long whistle signals = clear the pool<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>THREE<\/strong> short whistle signals = follow the directions of the lifeguards<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Students who violate the pool rules, will be subject to sanctions through the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
