The Clinical Experiences include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Integrated Clinical Experiences (ICE) \u2013 Part-time Clinical Experience during the academic semester. Year 1 &#8211; Summer, Year 2 \u2013 Fall and Spring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full-time Clinical Experiences \u2013 30 weeks total; Four rotations are interspersed throughout the program:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clinical Experience I \u2013 Winter semester of the 2nd Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinical Experience II \u2013 Fall semester of the 3rd Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinical Experiences III and IV \u2013 Summer of the 3rd Year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students rotate through a variety of clinical facilities including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient centers, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. The UMES Department of Physical Therapy currently has contractual arrangements with over 175 health care facilities in areas primarily with the eastern region of the United State. Most of our clinical sites are heavily saturated in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington D.C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students are required to maintain current CPR certification through the&nbsp;American Heart Association, complete an annual physical examination, remain up to date on all required vaccinations, and maintain active health insurance coverage.
