UMES Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Experience Latoya Jenkins was named one of Maryland\u2019s Top 100 Women for 2025 by the Baltimore Daily Record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jenkins, one of more than 2,000 women named an honoree since the award\u2019s inception 30 years ago, will be recognized during a May 5 awards celebration at Towson University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeing named among The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women is an immense honor that deeply resonates with my commitment as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Experience,\u201d Jenkins said. \u201cThis recognition not only acknowledges my dedication to enhancing student success, but also aligns with the core values of leadership, innovation, and community impact that The Daily Record celebrates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Daily Record, nominees were asked to complete an application outlining their educational and career history, professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships, and mentoring experience. They were encouraged to submit letters of recommendation from those familiar with their accomplishments professionally, in the community, and through mentoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese inspiring leaders have made significant contributions to Maryland and beyond,\u201d said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner<\/strong>, managing director of BridgeTower Media\/The Daily Record. \u201cThey are high-achieving role models who mentor and encourage future generations to pursue their own paths and ambitions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With her selection, Jenkins and the other honorees will be featured in a special magazine inserted into the May 6 issue of The Daily Record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jenkins is the eleventh woman affiliated with UMES, including President Heidi M. Anderson<\/strong> in 2022<\/a>, to be named to the list. Other past honorees include former presidents Thelma B. Thompson<\/strong> (2004, 2011) and Juliette B. Bell<\/strong> (2014).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is also the second honor for Jenkins as of late. She is also one of two UMES staff members selected to participate in Leadership Maryland\u2019s 2025 Executive Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
