University of Maryland Eastern Shore\u2019s (UMES) Latoya Jenkins<\/strong>, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Engagement, and Dr. Madhumi Mitra<\/strong>, professor of Biological and Environmental Sciences, are among a group of top professionals selected to participate in Leadership Maryland\u2019s 2025 Executive Program. Jenkins and Mitra will join senior-level executives throughout the year to discuss critical issues facing Marylanders and to be a force for positive change.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u202f\u201cWe are excited to announce our next class and welcome these accomplished and motivated individuals to the Executive Program,\u201d said David Fike<\/strong>, president and CEO, Leadership Maryland. \u201cAfter a careful review and interview process, I am confident that the 53 members of the Class of 2025 represent a powerful cross-section of leaders who have a strong desire to make a broader impact within our state. I look forward to watching them grow as they build their knowledge, experience and connections through our premier leadership program.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership Maryland Executive Program participants will complete an eight-month program beginning in April, meeting for two-day sessions focused on vital issues. More than 100 experts from the state will serve as panelists and guest speakers. Executive program members will also tour sites through the state\u2019s regions, adding to their knowledge base. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jenkins and Mitra are just the latest in a series of leaders from UMES to be selected for the influential program. UMES President Heidi M. Anderson was a 2019 graduate<\/a>, Chief of Staff Robert Mock was a 2021 graduate<\/a>, and Vice President for Athletics and Recreation Tara Owens<\/strong> graduated in 2024<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
