{"id":1324,"date":"2017-11-02T04:50:36","date_gmt":"2017-11-02T08:50:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/?p=1324"},"modified":"2021-09-20T04:52:50","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T08:52:50","slug":"articulation-agreements-make-transferring-to-umes-smooth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/articulation-agreements-make-transferring-to-umes-smooth\/","title":{"rendered":"Articulation agreements make transferring to UMES smooth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thursday, November 2, 2017<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/09\/MOU-exercise-rehab.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1325\" width=\"257\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/09\/MOU-exercise-rehab.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wwwcp.umes.edu\/pr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/09\/MOU-exercise-rehab-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 257px) 100vw, 257px\" \/><figcaption><strong>Departments of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Services<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs has confirmed three new articulation agreements that have been finalized in the past several weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Kinesiology developed a \u201c4+2\u201d memorandum of understanding that undergraduates who satisfy established grade-performance criteria in pursuit of an exercise science degree can qualify for preferred admission to Philadelphia University&#8217;s master&#8217;s program in athletic training.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA huge thanks to Dr. (Margarita) Treuth for leading this effort,\u201d said Dr. Latasha Wade, interim vice provost for academic affairs, adding \u201cThis is the first collaborative agreement of its kind in the Department of Kinesiology, and (UMES&#8217;) first agreement with &#8216;PhilaU&#8217;.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Rehabilitation Services has negotiated a similar articulation agreement with Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Md.
