Bio 

Dr. Hasan is an associate professor of pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, teaches in several disciplines in the pharmacology and clinical pharmacology field. He is currently Chair of the student conduct committee, member of the curriculum committee, and student academic progression committee, in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions (SOPHPs), UMES. Currently, appointed as pharmacology course director for the physician assistant program at UMES-SOPHPs. He has been in the School of Pharmacy since 2015 teaching different fields of pharmacology and clinical pharmacology. Before joining UMES, he supervised medical students at St. George’s Hospital Medical school, London, UK in their clinical practice skills. Dr. Hasan involves in the supervision of third-year pharmacy students during their APPE rotation. He has 18 years of academic teaching and working experience in the medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, and physical therapy fields. He supervised the pharmacology laboratory for 12 years. He is a co-author for three pharmacology textbooks and the author for clinical pharmacy textbook (2020), which was published at the Arab Center for Authorship and Translation of Health Science- Kuwait. Dr. Hasan is a Member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP).

Opioid epidemic, marijuana abuse and addiction, and the role of hormones in obesity
