Objectives:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete preparation of manuscripts 1 and 2 for publication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct fieldwork to collect fish and invertebrate samples, blue crab, and water samples for use in different research at LMRCSC in UMES laboratories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform laboratory analyses to process and study collected samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate on research with Dr. Deshpande at NOAA, Sandy Hook, NJ, Lab to detect the effects of the environmental factors on blue crab lipid composition in Maryland Coastal Bays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend and participate in professional meetings and workshops for NOAA, LMRCSC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Publications in Process:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Levels of heavy metals in sediments from the anthropogenically impacted Maryland Coastal Bays and the associated dead-end canals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heavy metal concentrations and bioaccumulation in blue crab (<em>Callinectes sapidus<\/em>) hepatopancreas and muscle tissues in the Maryland Coastal Bays in relation to temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure
