He pursued his M.S. degree from Oregon State University, Corvallis, under the supervision of mentor Maria Kavanaugh. His research focused on swordfish habitat compression using seascapes for the proposed Chumash National Marine Sanctuary. He successfully defended his master&#8217;s thesis, &#8220;Applications of Seascapes: Swordfish Distributions in Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary,&#8221; on Aug. 15, 2025.
