Emily Andrade graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.S. in Environmental and Ocean Sciences, concentrating on Marine Ecology. She spent Summer 2021 as a research assistant with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, where she analyzed the stomach content of Atlantic bluefin tuna. Emily began pursuing her M.S. degree at Delaware State University in fall of 2021. She completed her NERTO project, \u201cAntimicrobial assessment of microalgae species for use as aquaculture feed additives for sablefish,\u201d in the summer of 2022, under the mentorship of NOAA Scientist Dr. Joseph Dietrich at NOAA Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Newport, Oregon. Her thesis is titled, \u201cWater Quality Assessments, Microbial Health & Oyster Growth at Two Different Depths at Oyster Farm in Rehoboth Bay, Delaware.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
