Emily Griffin graduated from Central Michigan University in 2015 with her B.S. degree in Natural Resources Biology. She enrolled in M.S. degree program in Marine Sciences at Savannah State University, and was supervised by Dr. Tara Cox. Emily’s work evaluated the southern boundary of the Northern Georgia\/Southern South Carolina Estuarine System stock of common bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus<\/em>) using genetic analyses. This project combined genetics and long-term sighting data collected through photo-identification to examine stock structure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily graduated in spring 2018 and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Physiological Science at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, in Gainesville, Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
