Pa-Shun Hawkins graduated from the Marine and Environmental Science program at Hampton University with a B.S. in Marine Science. Pa-Shun’s interest in marine pollution fueled her aspiration to study Marine Ecotoxicology and microbes. Experimenting in these areas allowed exploration into microbe functions and their impact on marine contaminants. Her goal was to discover methods to mitigate pollution in cost-effective and environmentally friendly ways. She plans to earn a Ph.D. in Marine Ecotoxicology and aspires to a career as an environmental scientist.
