Malika Brown completed a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore under an LMRCSC Undergraduate Fellowship. In 2020, Ms. Brown earned her associate’s degree in biotechnology from Baltimore City Community College. During this time she developed a strong interest in research, aquaculture, bioremediation, and benthic ecology. Ms. Brown is captivated by deep ocean exploration and how discoveries can help us better understand the natural world and climate change while benefiting future generations. Her research is focused on the age and growth of Atlantic Salmon in Narraguagus River, Maine. Malika aims to pursue a master’s degree in Biological Oceanography through the MEES Graduate Program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
